Second Nature Paddling for Adults

Learn to paddle with Second Nature Outdoors. We offer courses designed by Paddle Canada for every paddler. Kayaking, Canoeing, and Stand Up Paddle Boarding (SUP). Weather you want to develop your skills or are in the market for a new toy, take a course. We will teach you what you need to know when purchasing your new boat and how to look good paddling it. We have a courses at all levels form introduction to advanced.

Second Nature Sailing for Adults

Learn to Sail with Second Nature this summer! Have you ever wanted to learn to sail? Well here is your chance!

​ With new courses starting in throughout the summer it’s time to give sailing a try. This course follows the Sailing Canada program offering participants the opportunity to gain basic sailing certification. Have you taken a course before? Perhaps it’s time to build on your skills and upgrade your certification. Our two day course will have you sailing in no time! Each Days begins at 9:00am and ends between 4:30 -5:00pm

​First Aid ​and CPR

Second Nature Outdoor offers First Aid and CPR training from Heart and Stroke Foundation and Sirius Wilderness Medicine. Weather you are looking for standard workplace First and and CPR or getting ready to take on your next wilderness adventure we can provide the training you need.


Advanced Wilderness First Aid (40 hours)

This course has become a minimum standard for outdoor professionals who work in a wilderness setting. Course content extends far beyond urban-based first aid programs to include elements inherent in working on remote sites beyond the reach of Emergency Medical Services.

Topics Covered
WFA theory and practice, with a special emphasis on accident scene management, group leadership, rescuer responsibility and liability, prevention of injuries, advanced first aid kits, wound management and managing the trauma victim.
